There is a reason I’m writing this post.
On Quora, there was a question – “What are some awesome things Python can do?”, I wrote an answer which wasn’t attractive at all. I failed to write an awesome answer. I went deep and wrote about the thing which I did using Python.
It seems that people like answers of 1 or 2 line.
Well, after writing the answer, I got several messages about my Ubunut’s look. People were asking – “How did you make your ubuntu so sleek?”
So, this post is basically about – Making your ubuntu’s look awesome and sleek, just like I’ve.
First of all, let me show you some images of the distro which I’m using.
So, do you want to make your ubuntu’s look just like the above slides ?
Well, it’s very easy to do. Just follow the below steps, and you’ll get everything you want.
STEP 1 : Type or Paste the below lines in your Terminal one by one.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:numix/ppa sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install numix-gtk-theme numix-icon-theme-circle sudo apt-get install numix-wallpaper-notd
STEP 2 : Installing Unity Tweak Tool for configuring themes and icons easily. Just type the given commands in your terminal.
sudo apt-get install unity-tweak-tool
STEP 3 : Now search Unity Tweak Tool from your Dash and click on it to open.
STEP 4 : After opening Unity Tweak Tool, you’ll see a section named “Appearance” where Icons and Themes will be mentioned, so, now just follow the slides to change the Theme and Icon set of Ubuntu.
We are going good, we just changed icon set and theme of Ubuntu. But if you want to make you desktop screen just like I have then you have to install a new theme : Libra Dark and change the option of Numix to Libra Dark from
Appearance -- Themes -- Libra Dark
Steps for installing Libra Dark in Ubuntu :

Keep Loving Open Source 🙂
